After opening its 29th season with a message of support for Puerto Rico, Fox’s The Simpsons continues to remind audiences that the country’s problems are far from over.

A recent YouTube clip entitled “A Message From Moe” sees the show’s resident bar owner, Moe Syzslak (voiced by Hank Azaria) commend San Juan’s mayor, Carmen Yulin Cruz as a “great dame” in response to her Tweet thanking The Simpsons for casting an eye towards the issues she’s facing. After making a few not-so-subtle potshots against President Trump’s paper towel throwing incident, in which he hurled paper towels like t-shirts at a concert, Moe proceeds to collect donations from the people of Moe’s bar to give to the country. The short also includes links to UNICEF USA if you’d like to donate.

After watching the new clip, Cruz sent another thank you – this time directly to the normally cranky Moe – via Twitter.

Puerto Rico is still reeling from the crippling effects of Hurricane Maria with thousands of people lacking water and electricity as government bureaucracy threatens to delay things further.
