SpongeBob SquarePants will always live in a pineapple under the sea, but his new restaurant is opening soon – on land.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bob Esponja – Burguer & Restaurante will open in São Paulo, Brazil, next month. The SpongeBob SquarePants-themed eatery will be a mix of fast food, fine dining, and two areas where the kids can have some fun.

The 1,000-square-meter restaurant will be able to seat 144 guests and will feature The Flying Dutchman’s Lounge on the second floor, where an additional 40 seats will be available where “fans can enjoy a unique moment inside the Flying Dutchman’s Ghost Ship.”

The Flying Dutchman is a recurring character in the SpongeBob SquarePants animated series. He is a green ghost pirate with bad intentions.

Another 70 seats on the second floor are in the SpongeBob House, which is described as “the first and only SpongeBob SquarePants-themed fine dining [spot] in the world.” A special menu exclusive to the space will be created by French-Portuguese-Brazilian chef Heaven Delhaye.

One of the areas for children is called Casa da Sandy, named after Sandy Cheeks, one of SpongeBob’s friends. In Brazil, Sandy Cheeks is known as Sandy Bochechas.

Honestly, all you had to do was say, “SpongeBob SquarePants-themed restaurant” and fans would have started lining up in droves.

We’re not sure if the Krabby Patty is on the menu, but we’d like to make a reservation either way.
