The official Red Band trailer for The Suicide Squad, the sequel to the 2016 movie Suicide Squad without the “The,” hit the web Friday (March 26) and the whole thing should make DC Comics fans happy.

The trailer begins with some of the title supervillains like Bloodsport (Idris Elba), Peacemaker (John Cena), Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman), Polka-Dot Man (David Dastmalchian), King Shark (Sylvester Stallone) and Thinker (Peter Capaldi) riding in a big bus on a mission to save Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie). When they get to their destination, she doesn’t need much saving.

“You were gonna save me?” she asks, bleeding from her nose and seemingly touched by their fruitless effort. “Well, I can go back inside, and you can still do it.”

Then we meet some more baddies in prison–Savant (Michael Rooker) sporting some long, bleached hair, Blackguard (Pete Davidson) and Weasel (Sean Gunn), a computer-generated, oversized, um, weasel that makes Rocket Raccoon from Guardians of the Galaxy look like Elmo.

Government official Amanda Waller (Viola Davis), who gives the Suicide Squad its orders, tells her crew that they will get 10 years off their sentences if they successfully complete a mission. If they do not, she will detonate the explosive device she’s implanted in their skulls. Sounds like they don’t have much of a choice.

The mission isn’t revealed during the trailer but audiences get a glimpse of Mexican actor Joaquín Cosío (Quantum of Solace) as Mateo Suárez, a high-ranking military leader in a Latin American country run by ruthless dictator, Silvio Luna (Argentine actor Juan Diego Botto).

Fans also get to see King Shark rip a human soldier in half with its bare shark hands. If you like your superheroes and villains a little weird, The Suicide Squad has a full lineup for your eclectic taste.
