The world premiere of the sequel Thor: Love and Thunder took place Thursday night (June 23) and actress Tessa Thompson made quite the impression in the film and on the red carpet.

“All hail the King,” Marvel Studios tweeted about Thompson’s character King Valkyrie, who is now the leader of New Asgard.

Dressed in a shimmering silver strapless top and matching long skirt designed by Armani Privé, Thompson walked onto the red carpet confidently and gracefully. She even took time to sign some autographs for fans who were dressed up like her Marvel character.

She also recorded a teaser featuring the film’s two goat stars and changed the title of the film to Thor: Goat and Goat.

The first reactions to Thor: Love and Thunder and Thompson’s role in the film have been positive. Remezcla’s own Trending News Editor said it was nice to see King Valkyrie “being her most authentic self.” In the past, director Taika Waititi supported the idea of King Valkyrie being a bisexual character.

Other moviegoers also reacted to Thompson’s performance. One tweeted that she and Natalie Portman, who plays the character Mighty Thor, have “a buddy cop-esque dynamic” that they loved.

Some other descriptions posted about Thompson in the movie include that she was “one of the film’s highlights,” gave a “wonderful performance” and that she “crushes it.”

So, how much of a badass is Tessa Thompson in Thor: Love and Thunder? Apparently, she doesn’t even need a weapon or a superhero outfit to stop someone in their tracks.
