@louie: I think it’s a mistake to say that all humor is equal.

@Cristian: I think it’s just a thing they do – they rib the French all the time, for example. This is just particularly vicious, particularly because they don’t ever discuss the car on its own merits on an *automotive show.* They dismiss the car simply because its Mexican, and then go on and on about it.

I know Top Gear makes fun of everyone but still there are limits, joking about the mexican ambassador isn’t within those limits, and also the other jokes weren’t even funny, really.
And you are right Dave Mexico has a bigger issue but the last thing that the mexicans need is people making fun of them.

but seriously, Top Gear makes fun of everyone. Last year they drove through the deep south of America and made fun of rednecks. They were chased down the road by rednecks in pickup trucks. It’s a joke, and I think Mexico has bigger issue to worry about, like a drug war.
