A wedding. A fire. A missing baby girl. The first few seconds of the latest trailer for Netflix’s Cable Girls (Las chicas del cable) has more drama than even we can handle. After that highly stylized teaser from a few weeks ago, the Spanish period drama dropped a full promo for its upcoming third season. The one-and-a-half minute clip finally gives us a clue as to what to expect as the 1920s Madrid-set series inches closer to flapper dresses and Great Gatsby-like attire. And yes, it all opens with Lidia’s wedding.

This feminist show, which plays like a Downton Abbey meets Gran Hotel meets Desperate Housewives hybrid, is going to be putting our favorite phone operator gals through the ringer. You may want to remain unspoiled as to what’s to come, but in addition to Lidia’s fiery wedding day here are some other images to lure you into watching the latest season: Angeles (Maggie Civantos) taken away in handcuffs, Carlota and Sara (Ana Fernández and Ana Polvorosa) getting into altercation when told what they need are husbands, and all the girls throwing bright purple paint on an unsuspecting man. Indeed, it’s that random image that most intrigues us though it’s clear that Lidia’s storyline (Blanca Suárez) will be, as usual, center stage amidst betrayals, romantic triangles, and murder mysteries coming to a head — there’s even a gun involved!

So take a look at the full trailer below which may be the only place where the image of a furious phone operator connecting a call feels highly electric.

Cable Girls season three drops September 7, 2018, on Netflix.
