We’ve finally gotten our first official glimpse at how Betty la Fea’s story continues, with Prime Video releasing the first official trailer for Betty la Fea, La Historia Continúa (Betta la Fea, The Story Continues). The new series, which is set to premiere on July 19th on Prime Video, will bring back the original telenovela leads Ana María Orozco and Jorge Enrique Abello, and pick up twenty years after the original telenovela left off.

The trailer opens with a voiceover from Patricia, who is telling Marcela some chisme. And Marcela isn’t the only one who won’t be able to believe the gossip, because what we see in the trailer is that Betty and Armando are on the cusp of divorce. Ecomoda is on the brink of disaster. Everything seems lost. But is it? Or can the two of them recapture the magic – for themselves and for the company?

In the original Betty la Fea, which ran for 335 episodes, Beatriz Pinzón Solano, aka “Bett” and her boss Armando ended up not just married and parents to a newborn daughter, but running Ecomoda together. Now, twenty years later, an “empowered and wiser Betty works hard on rebuilding her relationship with her teenage daughter, Mila.” Meanwhile, “her relationship with Armando begins to deteriorate, making her question if she made the right decision 20 years ago.”

Also reprising their roles in  Betty la Fea, La Historia Continúa (Betta la Fea, The Story Continues) are  Julián Arango, Natalia Ramírez, Lorna Cepeda, Julio Cesar Herrera, Luces Velásquez, Marcela Posada, Mario Duarte, Sebastián Osorio, Ricardo Vélez,  Alberto León Jaramillo, Rodrigo Candamil, Juanita Molina, Zharick León, and Estefania Gómez.
