A teaser trailer for the third season of The Mandalorian debuted at the D23 Expo on Saturday (September 10), and Star Wars fans are about as happy as when Grogu eats blue space cookies.

Actor Pedro Pascal and the rest of the cast attended the biennial event and took the stage to discuss their experience working on the new season.

“To describe the journey is practically impossible,” Pascal told the audience. “I wouldn’t be here meeting all of these amazing people. You need to go backstage. I mean, it’s insane.”

On the Star Wars timeline, Season 3 of The Mandalorian comes after the events of the debut season of The Book of Boba Fett, which ended earlier this year and featured Pascal in a guest role as Mando. Boba Fett wrapped with Mando and Grogu (Baby Yoda), leaving Tatooine on Mando’s N-1 starfighter to take on a new quest.

The trailer for season 3 begins with The Armorer (Emily Swallow) describing Mando and Grogu as a “clan of two.” She also explains to Mando that he “is a Mandalorian no more” because he removed his helmet and revealed his face. To reclaim his warrior status, he must visit the “living waters” of the planet Mandalore.

Mandalorian leader Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff) also tells Mando, “Your cult fractured our people,” setting up Mando to make amends if he wants to get back in everyone’s good graces.

“Alright, kid, hang on,” Mando tells Grogu as they hit warp speed. “Are you ready for an adventure?”

We know we are. The Mandalorian season 3 premieres on Disney+ in 2023. Watch teaser below:
