We now know when Senna is premiering. Previously we only knew it would hit Netflix sometime later on this year. Now the streamer has confirmed that the limited series, based on the life of famed Brazilian Formula 1 driver Ayrton Senna, will premiere on November 29, 2024.

The series, which stars Gabriel Leone in the titular role, is set to have six episodes and will follow Senna’s “journey through triumph, disappointment, joy, and sorrow, unveiling his personality and personal relationships.” This means we’ll get to see the late driver’s life from the beginning of his career until the accident that killed him in Imola, Italy, during the San Marino Grand Prix on May 1st, 1994.

Alongside the release date, the streamer also released key art for the limited series. The key art features star Gabriel Leone as Ayrton Senna standing on the racetrack with the sun on his back. He is holding the driver’s trademark green and yellow helmet, representing the colors of the Brazilian flag as he stares right ahead.

Netflix had previously released a teaser trailer for the series, which gave us a glimpse at the kind of attention Senna had to deal with, Senna’s famous  “I refuse to walk away from the fight” quote, and even a fight with famed F1 driver Alain Prost. For the rest, we will just have to wait a few more months.

Senna also stars Alice Wegmann, Camila Márdila, Christian Malheiros, Gabriel Louchard, Hugo Bonemer, Julia Foti, Marco Ricca,  Susana Ribeiro, and Kaya Scodelario, among others. Vicente Amorim serves as the showrunner and director alongside Julia Rezende, who also directs the series.
