With Love is a Latine take on the holiday stories that we have all come to know and love. Seeing our community represented in the same way every other rom-com has existed through history just nourishes the soul.
The multi-holiday rom-com show follows two siblings, Lily Diaz and Jorge Diaz Jr, as they try to find love. Of course, there are a lot of moments when the tías try too hard to fix up Lily and Jorge Jr.’s boyfriend has to grapple with being wrapped up in a large Latinx family. Anyone who has ever married into a Latine family knows one thing, you are marrying into the family just as much as you are marrying your partner.
The five-episode season touches on several holidays including Nochebuena, New Year’s Eve, Valentine’s Day, Fourth of July, and Día de los Muertos. All the while, Lily and Jorge Jr. are on a mission to secure their happily ever after before it’s too late.
With Love stars Emeraude Toubia as Lily Diaz, Mark Indelicato as Jorge Diaz Jr, Rome Flynn as Santiago Zayas, Desmond Chiam as Nick Zhao, Vincent Rodriguez III as Henry, Isis King as Sol Perez, Todd Grinnell as Dr. Miles Murphy, Constance Marie as Beatriz Diaz, and Benito Martinez as Jorge Diaz Sr.
Calderón Kellett was the powerhouse that brought us the One Day at a Time reboot starring Rita Moreno and it seems that she has done it again with With Love.
