Tortillas are without a doubt a delicious addition to any meal. Whether you use it to scoop up your beans, as an alternative to toast for your avocado breakfast, or just as a vehicle to inhale more cheese, tortillas are a gift. They’re also perfect as is. So when we saw a tortilla creation from a group of friends from San Antonio, we had some questions. Through a bit of ingenuity and a laser cutter, they stamped tortillas with the images of Selena, the San Antonio Spurs logo, and Darth Vader.
“It all started out when we were talking about our abuelitas and tias seeing images on their tortillas,” Joseph Lopez wrote on Instagram. “Then @andrizzy had the idea to put images on tortillas and Jeremy Zunker helped us make it all happen with the use of a laser cutter @10bitworks . It was a crazy ride for the next couple months after making a mobile tortilla laser rig for @luminariasa with the help of @johnfrazeeGood times for sure.”
And though these are probably not meant for consumption, we couldn’t help but wonder: Could you eat a tortilla with Selena’s face on it?
