La Churreria, headed by Jesus Manso of renowned Socarrat Paella Bar, offers these sweet sticks stuffed in paper cones or on a proper plate (though a fork and knife are hardly necessary). Kick it old school with this classic crispy treat covered in cinnamon sugar, or get snazzy with a chocolate coating (or filling for the fatter fritters). At 3 for $3, the revered churro finally gets the respect it deliciously deserves, abandoning the cart wheels for a chic place of its own.
