Gabrielle Union said “bring it on” to a spicy snack she featured on a recent TikTok video. It appears the Bad Boys II and L.A.’s Finest actress got her hands on a pickle-in-a-pouch that has a little more of a kick than most.
The pickle is a collab between the Van Holten’s brand and Tapatío, the popular hot sauce company. According to the pickle’s website, the fiery variant “is sure to bring the heat and unique taste every fan will love.”
In the video, Union and her husband, former NBA star Dwayne Wade, are seen inside the kitchen of their friend “Larry,” who they’ve surprised with a visit. “Whoa! This is why you roll up on your friends last minute,” Union says while holding up the sealed pickle.
Union then says that in her opinion, Larry has become the friend with the best snacks. She calls out their other friends, Wade’s former Miami Heat teammate Chris Bosh and his wife Adrienne, for getting dethroned. “You used to be having the best snacks, but Larry replaced you,” she says.
The clip then cuts to Union pulling out the Tapatío-flavored pickle from its pouch with the biggest smile she can muster. “Alright,” Union says before taking a bite. A few seconds later, Union is highly impressed with the taste and starts clapping and dancing around. “Oh, my God,” she says. “If you have been craving spicy pickles from the hood … I haven’t had one since, probably 1986. Yes, Tapatío! Yes!”
Now, we want Union to record herself eating more spicy snacks and reacting like she just hit a game-winning three-pointer at the buzzer.
