If you live in the cookie aisle of your local grocery store like we do, you’ve probably seen the limitless flavors Oreo has created in the last decade. From Chocolate Marshmallow to Strawberry Milkshake to Waffle and Syrup (no cap), there’s an Oreo cookie for everyone.

Now, Oreo is reintroducing a flavor it added to their sweet catalog back in 2019. Back then, they surprised fans by naming their “mystery flavor” as an Oreo with churro-flavored creme. Five years later, Oreo is doubling down on their love for churros and making the entire cookie taste like the fried pastry.

According to an official statement shared with Parade magazine, the new churro-flavored cookies “perfectly capture the mouth-watering dessert in one bite.”

On Instagram, Oreo posted a photo of its new cookie. The package describes the cookie as a “fried dough flavored cookie, churro flavor creme … and delicious sugar inclusions.”

It sounds good to us, and probably to Oreo cookie fans, too, who welcomed the news on social media with open mouths. Some of the comments on Instagram included, “Oreo, you understood the assignment” and “I am salivating just at the thought of them.”

At least one other social media user hoped this would lead to a horchata-flavored Oreo cookie sometime soon. Another suggested they change the name of the cookie to “Churreo.”

Now, all we need is a tall glass of milk and we’ll be in business.

Churro-flavored Oreos will hit store shelves on March 27, 2024.
