When I saw photos of San Francisco Giants pitcher Sergio Romo at the Giants World Series Parade last October I knew he was a man after my own heart. Why? Because he wore this shirt:
The t-shirt spawned countless headlines and photos, becoming the most talked about part of the celebration. Kind of like when I wore this “Yo Soy Legal” shirt to a Remezcla LA event and caused CRAY amount of controversy (aka two Facebook comments):
But I digress. Romo, the son of Mexican migrant farm workers, isn’t letting his immigration commentary die down. He has now teamed up with Three Twins Ice Cream, a Northern CA brand, on a new ice cream flavor called “Sergio Romo’s Mexican Chocolate.” Its tagline? “It only tastes illegal.” Hilarious and succinct.
