The end of October is especially eventful in the Remezcla office because we have not one, but TWO skull-filled, death-themed reasons to celebrate: Halloween and Dia de Muertos. HalloWYN: Wynwood’s Halloween Block Party, Oct 31, 6:00 PM

This year Halloween is finally on a Friday so there are no excuses for a turn down. If you want to get started nice and early with a bunch of good people, Mana Wynwood- in the heart of Wynwood-will be hosting their HalloWyn Block Party starting at 6:00pm in the food truck lot. So, that means food trucks, beers, costumes, and video DJs all night. The block party is free for all, but you can buy early food and bev tickets for all your munchie needs. More info here.

HalloWeekend Party feat. Bachaco, Oct 31 11:00 PM

Miami based band Bachaco are taking their fusion of Afro-Caribbean roots out on the road after a bit of a hiatus. Their single ‘Cumbia Pa La Nena’ gained them attention with their take on reggae, dancehall with ska and cumbia added to the mix. They’ve just released a new single, ‘Good Morning,’ and they are ready to make you sweat at Jazid for Jaloqüin. More info here.

Reel Horrorball VI: The Purge feat. Robbie Rivera, Oct. 31 11:00 PM

Did you watch the movie The Purge and really wish you could cause havoc without consequence for an entire night? Well, it’s your lucky night- Grand Central is hosting a Halloween event, REEL HORRORBALL VI: THE PURGE. Zoltan’s Seance Of The Undead Nov. 1st, 10:00 PM

Grand Central is celebrating Halloween/Dia de los Muertos with a seance for The Undead. This party features DJ’s Cremora, Mixx Piggy and Mikey R; be sure to wear your best Halloween costume for a chance to score a pair of tickets to Caribou (11/19) at Grand Central. It’s $5 with costume and $10 without, save yourself a few bucks with a repeat costume, plus free drinks from 11-12. More info here.

 

Dia De Los Muertos Block Party Nov. 1st, 3:00 PM

Modelo and Blue Martini in Brickell are teaming up for a Dia de Los Muertos block party in Mary Brickell Village on November 1, 2014. Come out for a block party to celebrate the dead with altars and live bands all day long. The day will include tunes, food, and booze! Guests will receive 3 complimentary beers, so get that liver ready. Tickets start at $30. Extra ofrenda package for $56. More info here.
