Bronx Photo League: Jerome Avenue Workers Project
As we see even the most obscure neighborhoods in New York City fall to the pressures of gentrification, no borough is safe. The first exhibition by the Bronx Photo League aims to document the changes in areas of the Bronx as property developments rise and a new crop of residents move in. This exhibit focuses on the workers of Jerome Avenue– home to one of the few pockets of working class communities in NYC. The photographs will be silver gelatin darkroom prints. The reception is this Saturday October 3rd at from 5 to 8pm.
