Colman Domingo has swiftly climbed the ranks of Hollywood superstardom, and trailing not too far behind is his rise as an haute couture style maven— with a personal flair so effortlessly cool and intentional that a tour of his closet could become a ticketed event.
Clearly Domingo’s sartorial and historical vision is highly revered. Just a single Met Gala appearance in 2024 was evidence enough to designate him as Co-Chair for the Met Gala on May 5th with this year’s theme being Superfine: Tailoring Black Style. Domingo is also joined by F1 Racer Lewis Hamilton and artists ASAP Rocky and Pharrell Williams as Co-chairs for the glamorous event.
With an impressive roster of killer looks, Domingo will inevitably crush the Met Gala Carpet. He even texted Anna Wintour a picture of his Gala look, which she considered “A work of art.”

Domingo has shown consistent admiration for Alessandro Michele’s designs, and by the looks of the tailoring and precise accents, it’s clear why Valentino remains his MO. At the 2025 Oscars, Domingo matched the red carpet in a custom, double breasted Valentino jacket cinched with a tasseled belt and wide legged trousers.
Domingo in a custom Willy Chavarria look is an organic match. Chavarria’s casual swag makes for a buttoned-up and simultaneously airy look. Domingo wore a double breasted tuxedo with extra large lapels and a sweeping cape. The fit was topped off with a bouquet of white Calla Lilies and a knuckle full of silver jewelry.
Easily one of Domingo’s most iconic looks is his mustard hued Haute Couture suit (and matching Louboutin boots!) by Valentino. The textured overcoat gave the look the double take it deserves.
All eyes were on Domingo when he arrived at the 2024 BET Awards in a show stopping Ferrari suit. The organza texture captured as much light and attention as the open blazer top, which was subtly adorned with a Lariat necklace from Da Beers.
Of course Domingo came dressed to the nines when it came to the Valentino FW25 runway! Domingo arrived in a two-piece Valentino pajama suit with a tan blazer and printed waist belt. He even wore houndstooth patterned boots that upped the the “minimalist maximalist” ante.
Domingo brought the glitz and glam to the 2024 Vanity Fair Oscars After Party after arriving in a statement Balmain coat and a sheer cut-out top. The statement coat is from Balmain’s FW24 Men’s runway, which presented pristine French silhouettes in colorful global patterns.
Domingo made a blooming statement at the Fashion Trust awards this last April. He arrived in an oversized, minty green suit with appliqué roses embroidered with shimmering crystals. The polished look was topped off with Massika earrings and a diamond chain necklace.
