While quinces revolve around a 15-year-old’s transition into young adulthood, they also place special emphasis on a young Latina’s relationship with her dad. One of the most traditional parts of the coming-of-age celebrations is the vals performed by fathers and daughters. Though we’d never suggest doing away with them, the father-daughter waltz doesn’t fit into everyone’s family structure. But even if it does, it doesn’t give moms an opportunity to shine.

That’s why we think mother-daughter dances should also be a quince tradition, and these seven adorable videos will prove our point.
