Graduation season is fully upon us, and in venues across the United States, something inspirational is taking shape. Though Latino enrollment in two- and four-year colleges has risen in the last decade, graduation rates still lag behind other groups. But whether they’re the first in their family to attend college, they’re undocumented immigrants, or they’ve had other unsurmountable obstacles stand in their way, they made it.

Just like last year, Latina Rebels – the collective working to empower the Latino community – encouraged 2017 graduates to send in pictures of their caps. And once again, graduates delivered touching, motivational, and personal messages about their journey and the sacrifices their families have made. Through Latina Rebels’ #LatinxGradCaps hashtag, we rounded up 25 of the best messages, so get your tissues ready.
