The Miss Universe 2023 Competition National Costume Show was held on Thursday evening (November 16) and it was just like anyone could have imagined – colorful, confident, and dramatic. In a word: fierce.
This year, 84 contestants are competing for the title. Of those women, 18 of them are from Latin America where the pride in one’s culture is second to none. That pride is expressed throughout the pageant week, but not as much as it is during the highly-anticipated portion of the event where each woman gets a chance to showcase to the world what their country means to them through detailed fashion.
From warriors to gigantic blue macaws, each costume was a sight to behold and has been a highlight of the week thus far. Below are the costumes worn by all 18 contestants from Latin America. Winners of the national costume contest will be announced on Saturday (November 18) as part of the final competition.
By the end of the evening, we’ll also know who is going to be announced as the new Miss Universe 2023. Current title holder R’Bonney Gabriel from the United States will be waiting in the wings ready to crown the new winner.
