1

Get enough sleep.

“The No. 1 tip is to always get enough sleep. I can’t stress this enough,” she told InStyle. “Ideally I would love to get nine or 10 hours of sleep, but either way, I always make sure I get at least eight. I also definitely think beauty comes from within – you have to have keep your mind, soul, body and spirit in sync. I am a firm believer in meditating and when you are happy and feel joy and love, you radiate beauty.”

2

"I better be nice."

“I always used to hear this saying, until you’re about 25 or 30, you get the face God gave you,” she told Today. “After that, you get the face you deserve. And I always kind of thought, well I better be nice.”

3

Take care of yourself.

“I never took sun when I was younger,” she told Today. “I wasn’t a drinker, I didn’t smoke. But I feel like at the core, it’s like how you feel inside and who you are inside kind of shows on your face.”

Simpler is better.

“I’m a big believer in the basics,” she said, according to Allure. “Less is more. I get my cleanser from my dermatologist. I need a great cleanser because I’ve had to wear a lot of makeup for so many years. I use a very mild makeup remover and a very basic sunscreen-moisturizer combo, and I try to get lots of sleep.”

5

Watch out for the sun.

“The No. 1 beauty tip Scott has taught me is to stay out of the sun,” she said. “We’ve always worked with bronzers and self-tanners instead. It’s been over 10 years now that Scott has been telling me to stay out of the sun and it has saved my skin.”
