Last week, sections of the Bronx and El Barrio were transformed into works of art by artists from Puerto Rico, Argentina, Mexico and other places around the world. Modeled after the Puerto Rico’s public art festival Los Muros Hablan – which also came to NYC a couple years back – MONUMENART brought giant murals to nine walls in Alto Manhattan, exploring the area’s rich immigration history.
