Since they began in 2005, the Stylos Awards have given shine to the accomplishments of Arizona’s Latino community — from musicians to activists to new entrepreneurs, the awards are about honoring the people bringing new life to Phoenix. This includes Arizona’s students; the awards are put on every year by The Isac Amaya Foundation, which was created to guide and provide financial resources for students, regardless of their immigration status, to achieve a higher education. The annual music meets fashion meets activism event is the biggest Latin party of the year in PHX, and this year’s nominees feature some new names as well as some familiar faces we’re happy are getting recognized (like Ashley Macias, who we’ve featured here). Check out the full nominee list below, and cast your vote between now until Sunday, Oct. 5 at midnight by going on to StylosAwards.com.
