Donald Trump has based his entire presidential campaign on hate. From day 1, he has targeted Mexicans and other Latino immigrants while using charged rhetoric. It’s no wonder that when it comes to his rallies, his superfans are just as aggressive. Of course, it doesn’t help that Trump actively encourages violence toward those who aren’t on his team.
In the past, he’s said “I’d like to punch him in the face,” “Maybe he should have been roughed up, and “If you see somebody with a tomato, knock the crap out of them” about those who oppose him, according to Salon. Unfortunately, his followers have probably made him proud and physical altercations continue to mount.
