The Internet Blessed Us With 100 Million Ted Cruz Memes After He Got Caught Liking Porn on Twitter

The internet loves to hate on Ted Cruz (and with good reason). So when he embarrassed himself on Monday night, there was so much schadenfreude. The US Senator’s verified Twitter account liked a video from @SexuallPosts, which has now changed its bio to read, “Follow for the Same Porn @TedCruz Watches.” Cruz’s account liked the post for almost an hour, before removing it from his timeline by 1:20 a.m. ET, according to The Verge.

At that time, Cruz’s communication director, Catherine Frazier, tweeted, “The office tweet posted on @tedcruz account earlier has been removed by staff and reported to Twitter.” His team has yet to offer an official statement, but many believe that he’ll blame hackers for the snafu – though it’d be hard to believe that a hacker would choose to just like one video and leave the rest of the account untouched. Others feel Cruz’s team will blame an intern.

Either way,  people are making jokes at his expense, and bringing up that time he wanted Texas to ban the sale of sex toys because “there is no substantive-due-process right to stimulate one’s genitals.” Below, check out the most hilarious Ted Cruz tweets:
