With the holiday season here, many of us are preparing to travel home to be with our families. And while parts of travel can be unpredictable – i.e. traffic on your way to the airport or your flight takeoff being delayed due to a number of reasons – there are few things that are pretty much guaranteed if you’re planning to travel and you’re Latino, including calling your mami every step of the way.
Below, check out the stressful situations Latinos are put under every time they fly.
Preparing for the flight
Before the flight, mom edition
Quickly followed by ‘Ya te montaste????’ an hour before boarding time

Getting to the airport
Lots of parental check-ins
This and “let me know when you get to the airport and when you’re taking off and when you arrive at your layover and when you leave again and when you get there and when you get to your apartment”
I’ve definitely had to put my foot down to shorten this list.
