Social media star and self-described illusionist Aurelio Sánchez knows how to command your attention as he transforms into some of our favorite celebrities right before our very eyes, including Selena and Shakira.
Since joining the social media platform in March 2020, Sánchez has used incredible makeup techniques to metamorphose into several celebrities, including Gloria Estefan, Jenni Rivera, Ana Barbara, Roció Dúrcal, Maria Felix, Maribel Guardia, Paulina Rubio, and Alejandra Guzmán.

Selena Quintanilla
Sánchez received the most views he’s ever gotten on a video when he uploaded a new Selena transformation this past weekend. Currently, the video has 3.7 million views. With Selena’s hit song “La Llamada” from her 1993 album Selena Live! playing during the video, Sánchez keeps his audience waiting in anticipation for a few seconds before the change occurs. Mariah Carey
Based on the number of videos he’s made featuring himself as Mariah Carey, we’re probably safe to assume she’s one of the celebrities he likes portraying the most. In this video, Sánchez lip syncs to Carey’s tear-jerking song “One Sweet Day” from her 1995 album Daydream.

Gloria Trevi
Like Carey, Trevi has a lot of videos on Sánchez’s social media accounts. In this one, he’s a dead ringer for Trevi as he lip syncs to “Nos Volvimos Locos,” Trevi’s title track to her 2021 album. Too bad Sánchez wasn’t snacking on some popsicles like Trevi and Guayanaa are doing in the music video.

Gabriela Spanic as Paola Bracho
One of the two fictional characters on this list belongs to Paola Bracho from the 1998 telenovela La Usurpadora. Paola is played by actress and singer Gabriela Spanic. Feel the tension in Sánchez’s video as he plays out a scene on the phone from the classic Mexican series, which was rebooted by Televisa in 2019.

Shakira
Shakira’s hips don’t lie and neither does Sánchez’s talent with the makeup brush. He transforms into the singer and songwriter’s doppelganger, curly hair and all, to the point where we don’t know where he ends and Shakira starts.

Jennifer Lopez as Ramona
Some of Sánchez’s work isn’t on TikTok like the videos of him playing singer and actress Jennifer López. But this one is on his Instagram and YouTube pages. Here, he turns into López as her exotic dancing character Ramona from 2019’s Hustlers, a film many people thought López deserved an Oscar nomination for. In the video, Sánchez is wearing a fur shawl and shiny silver dress and there are dollar bills raining down on him.

Sánchez is scary accurate with his transformation into rapper Cardi B – from the eyelashes to the bling he’s wearing. Nice product placement with the Pepsi can, too.
