With COVID-19 impacting industries across the board this year, Hollywood and the movie theater business were definitely not spared.

This year, studios have had to rework their release calendars countless times and delay some of the biggest films they had scheduled in 2020 to 2021. This includes potential blockbusters like Top Gun: Maverick, Black Widow and Ghostbusters: Afterlife.

Here’s a quick look at some of the movies that have been rescheduled for 2021 and the Latinx talent who are starring in them.

The Puerto Rican-Guatemalan actress will star as Martine Bancroft, the fiancée of the title character played by Oscar winner Jared Leto (Dallas Buyer’s Club). Morbius hits theaters March 19, 2021.

Ana de Armas in u0026#039;No Time to Dieu0026#039;

The Cuban-Spanish actress will play Paloma, a CIA agent helping James Bond (Daniel Craig) bring down a vengeful terrorist (Rami Malek). No Time to Die hits theaters April 2, 2021.


Eiza Gonzalez u0026amp; Demián Bichir in u0026#039;Godzilla vs. Kongu0026#039;

Little is known about their roles in the monster movie, but Gonzalez says she plays “a very smart woman behind a company” and that her role is “slightly comedic.” Godzilla vs. Kong hits theaters and HBO Max May 21, 2021.


Michelle Rodriguez in u0026#039;F9u0026#039;

The ninth installment of the Fast and Furious film franchise includes Rodriguez’s character Letty Ortiz, a professional street racer and wife of main character Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel). This will be the sixth F&F feature film Rodriguez has been in since the series started in 2001. F9 hits theaters May 28, 2021.

In the Heights hits theaters and HBO Max June 18, 2021.

Ramirez will star as a villain “with a conquistador background.” Like “The Pirates of the Caribbean,” the movie is based on a Walt Disney theme park attraction. Jungle Cruise hits theaters July 30, 2021.

The legend of the Candyman (Tony Todd) is told to main character Anthony McCoy (Yahya Abdul-Mateen) by Domingo’s character William Burke, a man who lives in the same neighborhood. Candyman hits theaters Aug. 27, 2021.

The Guatemalan-Cuban-American actor plays Leto Atreides, a nobleman and the father of main character Paul (Timothée Chalamet). Leto, who is a duke, is in control of the desert planet Arrakis. Dune hits theaters and HBO Max Oct. 1, 2021.

Hayek will portray the spiritual leader of the title group of Marvel superheroes. She has supernatural powers that allow her to heal humans and Eternals. Eternals hits theaters Nov. 5, 2021.
