Tacos are undoubtedly a gift from the culinary heavens Mexico. With tacos al pastor, nopal con queso, barbacoa, and endless other options, there’s a little bit of something for everyone. What makes taco even more appealing is that they lend themselves to experimentation. That is, after all, how we ended up with the Korean taco – two corn tortilla stuffed with caramelized short-rib and spicy salsa.
But some people have taken taco remixing a little too far, and come up with some pretty sus versions. Because it’s National Taco Day, we’re looking at 10 tacos that are a crime against humanity:

What started off as a gag on Nickelodeon’s iCarly has taken on a life of its own. According to the New York Times, “there’s a dessert version, made with brownie mix, white frosting and strawberry preserves; a guacamole-covered version, with Mexican-flavored tomato sauce, at Barefoot Kitchen Witch, the Web site of the Rhode Island blogger Jayne Maker; and a recipe available at spaghettitacos.com that uses Italian sausage and peppers.”
