Megastars Romeo Santos, Juan Luis Guerra, and Prince Royce have taken bachata to stages across the globe. So much so, that even mainstream chart toppers like Drake, Usher, and Nicki Minaj have dipped their toes in bachata crossovers to reach new audiences.
But as much as we love the genre opening up to artists outside the Latino world, there will always be a soft spot in our hearts for bachata bootlegs – the unofficial remixes that dwell in the deep k-hole of Soundcloud and YouTube, flipping songs of all genres into tropical masterpieces you never knew you needed.
