CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso are having a moment. After reimagining their songs for NPR Music’s El Tiny desk series, the Argentinean duo garnered more global attention. Now, they’re booked and busy for 2025 with their upcoming first-ever U.S. tour in 2025, as well as with a huge Coachella debut. How’s that for making the most out of a viral moment?

Though a novelty for many, their viral moment was years in the making. Before officially launching as a duo, the two artists performed as the rock band Astor in the early 2010s. Then, the Argentines started their respective solo careers, making waves in their country’s trap and experimental indie scene. They even have their own Bizarrap sessions – CA7RIEL’s No. 14 and Amoroso’s No. 3, showing their trap sides.

But the duo — formed by Catriel Guerreiro and Ulises Guerriero — has a lot more to offer than rock and trap. What sets the two stars apart from their colleagues is how they inject chaos and humor into their tracks and performances. Their experimental songs tend to cross genres, from electronic to hip-hop, trap, and pop, giving the listener various BPMs. However, perhaps what makes them an essential artist to see live is their charisma during their live performances, which helped their El Tiny stint appeal to an international audience.

Many social media users commented on the performance by CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, praising the band’s new song arrangements. Multiple Internet users reposted snips of the segment, especially the duo’s playful banter on “EL ÚNICO” and their manifestations on “LA QUE PUEDE, PUEDE.” And now with their upcoming Coachella performance and U.S. tour, more people stateside will finally have a chance to indulge in their eccentric stage personas — accidental falls and all.

From their most popular solo tracks to their debut album’s newest and now viral songs as a duo, here are seven essential CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso songs to get to know before they perform on stages nationwide.

“OUKE”

“Ouke / fumando flore’ con Lamothe / Pidiendo que mi barco flote / Bella, no me pienso ahogar / Mucho’ culo’ en mi celular” is one of the duo’s most popular verses long before BAÑO MARÍA. “OUKE” was released in 2019. Produced by CA7RIEL, the famous track showed the duo’s hard-hitting flow on top of a mellow trap melody. With a wink to Michael Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal” and high-pitched, sometimes grungy vocals, the two artists delivered a track that has over 24 million views on YouTube. The duo still sings this song during performances, making it clear that it’s one of their first hits and fan favorites today.

“LA QUE PUEDE, PUEDE”

“LA QUE PUEDE PUEDE” is from the duo’s album BAÑO MARÍA, released on Apr. 17. With lyrics like, “Quiero má’ plata, plata, plata, y sentirme rico / Para seguir comprando cosa’ que no necesito / To’ los trago’ gratis cuando llego / Toa la gente happy, soy muy bueno,” the song became a mantra for some social media users after discovering it via their viral performance. However, the original track exudes a more experimental electronic feel with a thick synth and high-pitched laser beam-like sounds that beg to be played on loud speakers. “LA QUE PUEDE PUEDE” was produced by CA7RIEL and Casta.

“DUMBAI”

Not all of CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso’s music is hard-hitting and rap-forward. The talented duo shows a different side of the musical compositions in “DUMBAI,” a rhythmic song from their latest album oozing hints of reggaeton with hypnotic keys that showcase the artist’s softer vocals. With a contagious chorus that invites their audience to join them in singing, “DUM DUM DUM DUM DUM DUMBAI,” the duo delivers an earworm chorus full of explicit lyrics. Contrary to their mellow tune, the artists sing about getting down with someone until they can’t anymore. “DUMBAI” was produced by Federico Vindver and Sir Nolan.

“EL ÚNICO”

One of the most fun songs by CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso is none other than “EL ÚNICO” from the album BAÑO MARÍA. “EL ÚNICO” is about finding out that your significant other is cheating on you. And while the story is unfortunate, the duo delivers it with charisma. The story unfolds when the duo realizes they’ve been hooking up with the same girl by connecting the dots. They ask and respond to each other, “Pará, pará, pará, pará, pará / ¿Tatuaje en el cuello? (Sí) / ¿El pelo negro? (Sí) / ¿De silicona? (Sí),” concluding that they’ve been sleeping with the same person. The track embodies more of a groovy bop mixed with a trap sound, keeping the album’s listener on their toes. “EL ÚNICO” was produced by Vindver.

“BABY GANGSTA”

“BABY GANGSTA” is the opening track of BAÑO MARÍA. It meshes elements of drum and bass with R&B, making it one of the debut album’s standouts. “BABY GANGSTA” tells the story of being a hard “gangster” but with a soft side. With a repetitive chorus that says, “Tierno pero gangsta, tu baby gangsta,” the duo trade verses about living the life they want and reiterate that they’re still tender inside. In a nutshell, it’s a step back from their risqué lyrics to reconnect with their day-one fans who know their actual personalities. “BABY GANGSTA” was produced by Vindver.

"BAD B*TCH”

“BAD B*TCH” is a song by CA7RIEL from 2021. The song is included in his solo album EL DISKO, with other popular songs like “SHIPEA2” and “POLVO.” Produced by CA7RIEL and Tomas Sainz, the track embodies disco elements topped with a groovy bass line, showing yet another side of CA7RIEL’s ever-evolving genre mastermind. Although it’s technically only half of the duo’s song, they still perform it during their concerts as a mash-up with Amoroso’s “Mi Deseo,” giving a twist to both songs. Other solo projects by CA7RIEL include LIVRE (released in 2018) and POVRE (released in 2018).

“Mi Deseo”

“Mi Deseo” is a song by Amoroso, released in 2020 off the double-offering release of Mi Deseo / Las Vegas Strip. The song oozes a bossa nova feel with romantic lyrics full of lust. Produced by Baby Boom and written by the artist, the song calls for a sexy night-in with lit candles and rose petals. Like CA7RIEL’s “BAD B*TCH,” this track demonstrates half the duo’s talents that go beyond one single genre. Other solo projects by Amoroso include SAETA (released in 2021), which includes singles like “Viuda Negra,” “Da Igual,” and “Chinga Sport.”
