Who’s ready for Gemini season? Often described as adaptable, social, and curious, we’re continuing our monthly listicle with Gemini, which approximately runs from May 21 to June 20. The Twins sign is part of the Air sign collective with Libra and Aquarius. Without further ado, let’s start celebrating Geminis this month.

There are many famous Latine Geminis, including música mexicana super star Peso Pluma, who is known to make genre-less music. It makes sense since Geminis are known to be both adaptable and curious, qualities that La Doble P showcases in his ever-evolving music. Moreover, he’s part of many cliques — he’s shown his diverse Rolodex by inviting rappers like Snoop Dogg and Cypress Hill on his tour stops to making hits with Mexican stars like Junior H and Luis R Conriquez, demonstrating that the artist embraces his social element. But there are more mainstream artists we’re celebrating this month. We’re also toasting Mexican pop star Paulina Rubio, whose birthday is June 17.

Besides our aforementioned favorites, more artists celebrating another year around the sun this month include Puerto Rican songstress RaiNao, Chilean singer Javiera Mena, and Mexican-American DJ El Dusty, who have all shown us their genre-less music that demonstrates their sonic curiosity. We’re also celebrating Mexican ranchera queen Majo Aguilar, Dominican rapper Lismar, and Colombian vocalist Carolina Oliveros, who continuously show us a Gemini’s particular skill to adapt and excel in their respective music lanes.

What else do we love about each Gemini artist? The way they release songs that continue to push their boundaries and keep their fans on their toes. From Peso Pluma’s EDM-inspired song “Apaga La Luz” with RØZ to Oliveros’ captivating track “Pide,” here are seven songs to celebrate our favorite Twins sign on their birthday month.

And for any Geminis reading this: Happy birthday!

Peso Pluma, RØZ – “Apaga La Luz”

Born on June 15, La Doble P has a distinctive, high-pitch, and raspy voice that adapts to any music genre. He’s done hip-hop, rap, corridos, electropop, and reggaeton since the start of his career in 2020. Now, he’s exploring EDM with emerging Mexican DJ and producer duo RØZ. If you’re unfamiliar with RØZ, the Mexican duo got popular thanks to their 2024 collaboration “flashes” with Yng Lvcas, which went viral on TikTok. And what better way to kick off their career with a cosign from Peso Pluma? While we don’t know what’s next on Peso’s music agenda, we know he will perform at Chicago’s Sueños Music Festival on May 24. Will he feature corridos in his repertoire or feature other types of music like “Apaga La Luz” instead?

RaiNao – “sofocón”

Celebrating her birthday on May 26, the sultry singer RaiNao is at the prime of her career. Earlier this year, Bad Bunny invited her to be a part of his blockbuster album DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS with their collaboration “PERFuMITO NUEVO.” Fast forward to last weekend (May 17), Benito brought RaiNao to the Big Apple to perform their aforementioned track during his Saturday Night Live performance. But RaiNao is more than just a Benito feature. This year, she’s also released a new album called CAPICÚ, featuring reggaeton, dembow, and her signature alternative indie and R&B sounds. Let’s just say this Gemini stays curious when making music.

Majo Aguilar - “Que Te Vaya Bien”

It’s no secret that Geminis know how to adapt in any situation. Aguilar shows this exact trait in her newest album, Mariachi Mío, where she infuses traditional mariachi elements and evolves them into something more. As a curious Gemini, she goes beyond what her family is traditionally known for and creates an innovative lane by mixing mariachi, huapango, rap, and more into one album, and she gives her fans a little bit of everything in it. Looking for an exciting mariachi track with a rap twist? Listen to “Luna Azul” featuring Santa Fe Klan. Want something more traditional? Check out her newest single “Que Te Vaya Bien.”

El Dusty, Drty Tropix – “The Phoenix”

El Dusty is another Gemini celebrating his birthday on June 5. The Mexican-American DJ and producer is known to be a social Air sign. Take last month’s performance at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, for example. After engaging with fans and new faces during his lively DJ set, the artist took it one step further. He got out from behind the decks and into the crowd to give cheers to his people. Yes, one by one, he clinked beers with whoever was drinking that day. And that’s what made his performance so memorable: he interacted with his audience during his set and after it. How’s that for a social Gemini?

Lismar – “PERFUME DIOR”

Born on May 31, Lismar is an example of a fearless Gemini. About to turn 20 this year, the young Dominican rapper already has a standout collaboration with Argentinean hitmaker Bizarrap. With an impeccable and fiery flow, she’s undoubtedly making a name for herself by doing what she does best. More of her popular hits include “Subió La Temperatura” also with Bizarrap, “Elvira & Tony” with Hades66, and “Baddie” with ECKO. And based on her out-of-the-box and hard-hitting rhymes alone, the rapper proves she stays adaptable and versatile to any beat that’s in front of her — in true Gemini form.

Javiera Mena – “Na Na Na”

Did you know Mena is a Gemini? It’s true, the Chilean pop star was born on June 3, 1983. Known for her catchy hits like “Otra Era,” her rendition of “Yo No Te Pido La Luna,” and “Sol De Invierno” with Gepe, she’s one of our favorite synth-pop artists. Beyond being adaptable, social, and curious, Geminis are also known for their creativity, which Mena has embraced throughout her last two decades as a performer and songmaker. With all of these positive traits in mind, it’s no wonder she’s collaborated with other innovative artists like Miranda!, Alex Anwandter, and Li Saumet — she’s a certified hitmaker.

Carolina Oliveros – “Pide”

Born on May 30, Oliveros is a force to be reckoned with. Widely known as Combo Chimbita’s frontwoman, Oliveros is now releasing more music as a solo artist, and we’re here for it. With her passionate and hypnotic vocals, the Colombian singer is putting her music on the map. Besides “Pide,” she’s released a soulful collaboration with Xenia Rubinos called “No Me Dejes Caer” and a dance-floor-ready single called “Asfixia.” But get this: each song is different from the other, demonstrating a Gemini’s knack for adaptability. And honestly, that’s what makes her solo project that much more to look forward to.
