Ready or not, it’s Taurus season! Frequently known as dependable, ambitious, and patient, we’re continuing our monthly listicle with Taurus, which approximately runs from Apr. 20 to May 20. Taureans are part of the Earth sign clique with Capricorns and Virgos. But let’s stay focused on our dear bulls for now.

There are many famous Latine Taurus, including Chilean-Mexican songstress Mon Laferte, who is undoubtedly one of the most poetic artists on our radar. It makes sense since Taurus are known to be ambitious and driven by passion for beauty and stability, qualities that Mon continuously demonstrates through her ever-evolving looks and artistic pursuits that keep her fans on their toes. Based on her life story, which shows us how dependable, ambitious, and patient she has been to reach her now global fame, the popular singer checks off all the traits that our beloved Taurus are known for. But there are more mainstream artists we’re celebrating this month. We’re also toasting Colombian figurehead J Balvin, whose birthday is May 7.

Besides our aforementioned favorites, more artists blowing out candles this month include Mexican pop icon Anahí, Mexican rising star NSQK, and Boricua star iLe, who have all given us innovative and genre-bending music throughout the years, showing Taurus’ knack for pursuing creativity. We’re also celebrating Mexican-American emerging artist Xavi, Mexican crooner Junior H, and Mexican singer Kevin Kaarl, who own their Zodiac sign’s dependability trait by constantly putting out new music releases for their loyal fan bases to enjoy.

What else do we love about Taurus? The way drop banger after banger that show us just how aspiring Taurus can be. From Mon Laferte’s theatrically-inspired hit “Levítico 20:9” to Kaarl’s poetic track “búscame otra vez,” here are seven songs to celebrate our favorite Taurus on their birthday month.

And for any Taureans reading this: Happy birthday!

Mon Laferte – “Levítico 20:9”

Born on May 2, 1983, this is a Taurus who admires beauty in life. As previously mentioned, Mon frequently pushes the boundaries of beauty, whether by switching up her physical appearance or showing off her creative ways in art. Her ambitious trait is also evident in her music, where she explores different genres like pop, cumbia, folk, bolero, ranchera, and beyond. What else do we love about this Taurus? Her dependability and loyalty. Whether it’s for her fans or her loved ones (I mean, we’ve all heard “Tu Falta de Querer,” right?), she puts her fierce loyalty first, regardless of the outcome.

Xavi – “Flores”

Like many Taurus folk, Xavi constantly demonstrates dependability, ambition, and patience. The young star’s loyalty is shown through his flourishing music career’s end goal. Did you know one of his life goals is to rebuild his mother’s taquería? Moreover, the fact that he’s continuously collaborating with artists and pushing his music forward also suggests that he’s as ambitious as he’s dependable, which are two endearing traits for artists to have. As for the sign’s last trait, he’s shown patience after a car accident, which almost changed the course of his career. Luckily, with patience and faith, he was able to recover and is working on music now.

Junior H, Gael Valenzuela – “El Chore”

Born on Apr. 23, 2001, Junior H’s dependability showed during his debut Coachella performance. Last year, Peso Pluma invited the música mexicana crooner to perform their hit collaboration “El Azul” on stage. And what does this star do his own Coachella set? He invited La Doble P to perform their joint track “Luna” back on the main stage, showing what true loyalty is all about. As a true Taurus, he’s always ambitious, too. In a recent interview, he told Remezcla what he’s eyeing after Coachella: the older crowd. “Our goal will always be to reach more ears, to win over more people,” he said.

Anahí – “Mi Delirio”

We’ve touched on this season’s signs’ dependability and ambition traits. Now, let’s talk more about their patience. Former RBD member Anahí is a pop icon who has demonstrated patience throughout her fruitful career. Take RBD’s highly anticipated reunion as an example. It took fans over a decade to see (most) of the group perform on stage again. Throughout those years, Anahí was patient and waited for the stars to align with her four other members: Dulce María, Maite Perroni, Christopher von Uckermann, and Christian Chávez. And although we may or may not have another RBD reunion, at least the five members gave us a reunion tour to remember.

nsqk – “UGH”

Born on Apr. 27, 1998, nsqk embodies innovation with his genre-bending music. He showcases his creative ambition in his latest album ATP, which spans genres like R&B, reggaeton, trap, and beyond. Not only that, but the Mexican artist also delivers cinematic music videos that add to his craft, demonstrating a Taurus’s love for art. Furthermore, his hard years of work are paying off this year, as he’s been featured in important U.S. events like SXSW 2025’s Rolling Stone’s Future of Music in Austin, TX. He’s also set to perform at the upcoming Sueños Music Festival in Chicago, IL, along with other stars like Shakira and Peso Pluma.

iLe – “Me Hiciste Quedar Mal”

iLe is another Taurus to celebrate this season. The feminist Puerto Rican artist exudes rawness and creativity, which is demonstrated in her latest music video “Me Hiciste Quedar Mal.” Moreover, her dependability trait shows when she uses her music and platform to express the issues she’s passionate about. For example, when she released her collaboration “Algo Bonito” with Ivy Queen, she said she was seeking feminine liberation. “We want safe and legal abortion. Those are the good things we want to hear,” she reportedly said in a press statement about the song’s message. What’s not to love about her Taurus spirit?

Kevin Kaarl - “búscame otra vez”

It’s no surprise that Kaarl is an emotional Taurus. And guess what? His sign’s dependable trait can also translate to loyalty to a lover, regardless of what happened in a relationship. With this in mind, his lyrics like, “Quisimos tanto hasta perdernos y llorarnos al dormir / No había notado que tus labios ya no estaban para mí / Hay muchas cosas que no dije y sé que estuvieron muy mal / Pero quisiera regresarme y sostenerte una vez más,” seemingly shows that stubborn dependability trait that that the bulls are known for. What can we say? Taurus aren’t scared of being loyal.
