Mexicans Are Streaming K-Pop Group BTS So Much, They’re Shooting Up the iTunes Mexico Chart

Mexican K-Pop fans have had a rollercoaster of a week. When the nation of their idols clashed against their birth country in the World Cup, they had a bit of an existential crisis – who should they root for?

But today, after South Korea stopped Germany from advancing in the group stage and saved Mexico from elimination, it seemed like the entire nation of Mexico was suddenly a BTS fan. So much so, that the K-Pop juggernaut’s single “Fake Love” shot up 31 spots on the iTunes Mexico chart.

It wasn’t long before Twitter was flooded with homages to K-Pop and petitions for BTS to tour in Mexico. Check out some of the reactions below.
