This weekend, Colombian salsa icons Grupo Niche will celebrate their 35th anniversary with a concert at Lehman College in the Bronx. This event is a testament to the longevity of the group’s career, which has resulted in more than 20 albums. While it’s easy to find stories on Niche’s legacy and its mix of uptempo songs and slower-paced salsas románticas, we’d be remiss if we didn’t also take the time to acknowledge that back in the day, the members brought it all sartorially.
