Vaxxed, snatched, and ready to dance? So are many of your favorite artists. Last year saw concerts and live shows get cancelled left and right, due to public health orders to prevent the spread of COVID-19. But now that vaccines are available across the United States, and the spread of the coronavirus is slowing down in most parts of the country, live music is making a big comeback.
While the list of artists announcing tours is hopefully going to grow (Hello, ladies? Where are our Latina artists?), here’s a running list of shows that have been announced so far.
Bad Bunny
Bad Bunny announced the North American leg of his 2022 El Último Tour del Mundo tour during a WrestleMania appearance. EUTDM kicks off February 9, 2022, in Denver’s Ball Arena and runs until April 3rd in Miami’s AmericanAirlines Arena. Bunny will make pit stops in Houston, Los Angeles, Brooklyn, Washington, and Canada, to name a few. Tickets for the tour are available on Ticketmaster.
J Balvin
Papa-to-be J Balvin may not be doing a traditional tour this year, with his son due to be born sometime in the next few months. However, fans need not get sad because Balvin will be hitting the stage at a few festivals including: Baja Beach Fest 2021 which takes place in Rosarito Beach, Mexico in August, and NEON in September in Las Vegas.
Marc Anthony
Marc Anthony’s 23-date North American tour is set to kick off August 27 in San Antonio’s AT&T Center, Billboard can exclusively announce. The Marc Anthony Tour–with stops in major cities including Chicago, Miami and Los Angeles and two dates in Canada–is produced and presented by CMN and Magnus Media, with tickets to go on sale April 30 via Ticketmaster.
Bruno Mars
Las Vegas has been waiting for the return of their live concerts and residencies, and Bruno Mars will be the first artist to head back to the strip. Announcing a run of concerts every weekend in July, Mars will be appearing at the Park Theater at the MGM. Tickets went on sale April 30, but good luck getting them. Mars is one artist that sells out very quickly.
Maluma
The Colombian star’s newly announced 30-date U.S. and Puerto Rico arena tour is the biggest and most ambitious 2021 U.S. tour to date. Maluma’s Papi Juancho tour will kick off Sept. 1 in Sacramento’s Golden 1 Center and wrap up at Chicago’s Allstate Arena on Oct. 24.
Ricky Martin & Enrique Iglesias (feat. Sebastian Yarta)
Ricky Martin and Enrique Iglesias are planning a mega tour for their fans. The two heartthrobs are teaming up to treat Canada and the U.S. audiences to a show they will never forget. Sebastián Yatra will be joining the two musical powerhouses as a special guest for this North American leg.
Alejandro Sanz
Alejandro Sanz returns to touring, after being one of the first artists to offer virtual concerts, with the announcement of new U.S. dates of his #LaGira 2021 tour. Produced by Live Nation, the Spanish crooner will kick off the tour on Oct. 8 at Illinois’ Rosemont Theatre and run until Oct. 31 at San Jose’s SAP Center. Additional dates include New York, Miami, Houston and Los Angeles. Tickets for his 2021 shows go on sale at 10 a.m. local time on April 29 via Ticketmaster.
David Bisbal
The “En Tus Planes” tour is set to kick off in the fall, beginning on September 30 in Miami’s The Fillmore Miami Beach and wraps up on Oct. 30 in California’s San Jose Civic. Additional stops include Atlanta, New York, San Juan, Dallas, Chicago, and Las Vegas, to name a few.
