Premios Juventud Had No Premios and Everyone is Confused

This year’s Premios Juventud was chock-full of performances from Latin music’s chart toppers, including Maluma, Becky G, CNCO, Natti Natasha, and more. But one thing was conspicuously missing: the premios.
For the first year since the awards show launched in 2004, Premios Juventud didn’t have any nominees or voting – making it less of an awards show and more of an extended, televised concert. Perhaps going forward they should rebrand as “Concierto Juventud”?
Check out some of the confused reactions on Twitter below.

Is #PremiosJuventud even an award show anymore? Is it a concert? I haven’t seen any awards presented…

Soooo @Univision now makes award shows without giving awards?! I love the performances don't get me wrong. Maybe just drop the "Premios" part of the title. #PremiosJuventud #GenPJ #Univision #YLosPremiosPa
