There are hella Mexicans in Russia right now. Ahead of the World Cup, Airbnb released statistics about those heading to Russia during June and July. With an estimated 176,500 traveling to the country in June and July, 13,000 Mexicans will touch down abroad, making them the second most represented country – behind only the United States. Most of Mexico’s visitors are coming from Ciudad de Mexico, Jalisco, and Nuevo Leon, and they’ll be headed to Moscow, Saint Petersburg, and Rostov-on-Don.
There are a few other Latin American countries that will also be well represented in Russia – including Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, and Peru, according to El Universal. But to celebrate Mexico’s excitement for the cup, we rounded up images of them hanging out in Russia. Most of these images feature Mexicans wearing sombreros (or lending out their sombreros to others) and proudly waving their flags. Check out a few photos below.
