The tribal guarachero phenomenon took on a high new realm in 2011 than what most could imagined. Ever since 3Ball MTY‘s viral song “Inténtalo” and it’s 22 million-views debut video hit our screens last year, everyone and their grandmothers — seriously — jumped on the bandwagon and sought to buy themselves those pair of pointy jester boots and be a part of this electro-tribal, norteño new aesthetic. Hey, who could blame them, even we in the office got a couple fancy pairs. Though Erick Rincón, Sheeqo Beat, and DJ Otto, under the mentorship of über-producer Toy Selectah, have been pretty busy showcasing in festivals and getting that tribalero sound into about every outlet with audio, it had been a while we hadn’t seen them on the MV screen.
So it’s about that time that these kids hit our pantallas again with a new, and may I add, titillating music video. “Besos Al Aire,” once again features the confident and seductive vocals of América Sierra, also featuring Smoky. In the vid, a gang of gorgeous models with angel wings flirtatiously walk the runway in what seems to be a very V.I.P. event where our boys spin the turntables away. I must say, the video is quite a tease and it’ll have you kissing the air. Watch it below:
