From the land of Maradona and Evita comes dance-rock, fun-some foursome Robot Zonda. RZ just released the video for the fourth single “Rompe Tu Ola” off their self-titled debut. These busy go-getters produced, directed, and edited the video themselves, and showcased it just weeks after the release of their last video for “Ensueño (Quiero Dormir).”
The video is hella DIY and features a lot of blue/green screen backdrop effects while singer Robot 1 poses shirtless (hands up, ladies!), which is probably how the band was able to get it done so quickly. We’ve seen this style before in other indie band videos out of Latino America (She’s A Tease comes to mind). The focus here, obviously, is the upbeat tune that’s got me dancing in my home office. I welcome it considering the cold snap that made its way into Cali over the weekend has frozen my joints.
