ASTROPICAL is officially going on tour! The band, formed by members of Colombian outfit Bomba Estéreo and Venezuelan group Rawayana, is making its live debut this year. The highly anticipated tour’s U.S. leg will kick off at The Anthem in Washington, D.C., on May 28 and wrap up at the Greek Theatre Berkeley in Berkeley, CA, on Sept. 12. The band’s first show will be at Vive Latino in Mexico City this weekend (Mar. 16).

“This will be an entirely new band,” Rawayana’s Beto Montenegro said about the upcoming tour in a press statement. “We will definitely play songs by Bomba Estéreo and Rawayana, but only as part of the ASTROPICAL experience. I never imagined that one day I would be sharing the stage with Bomba Estéreo.”

After kicking off their tour in Washington, D.C., the band will perform at The Fillmore in Philadelphia, PA (May 29); the Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater in Bridgeport, CT (May 31); and the SummerStage in Central Park in New York, NY (June 1). They will also perform at The Salt Shed in Chicago, IL (June 3); the Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, FL (Aug. 23); The BayCare Sound in Tampa, FL (Aug. 24); the Coca-Cola Roxy in Atlanta, GA (Aug. 27); and The Bomb Factory in Dallas, TX (Aug. 29).

The band’s final stretch includes stops at the White Oak Music Hall in Houston, TX (Aug. 30); The Espee in San Antonio, TX (Aug. 31); and The Van Buren in Phoenix, AZ (Sept. 3). The last two performances will be at the Brooklyn Bowl LV in Las Vegas, NV (Sept. 10), and the Greek Theatre Berkeley in Berkeley, CA (Sept. 12).

ASTROPICAL released their first self-titled astrology-inspired album last week (Mar. 7). Their new album includes their lead singles “Me Pasa (Piscis)” and “Fogata (Leo).” ASTROPICAL transcends genres like Afrobeats, electronic, champeta, and beyond.

Tickets will be available on Thursday (Mar. 13) at 10 a.m. local time via the band’s official website.
