Be it his latest shoe collaboration, his appearance on LeBron’s HBO Show The Barbershop, or dropping new music, the rapper is not only a hit maker, he’s a news maker. His latest headline is another No. 1 hit. This one is being with Aventura for their latest song “Volví.”
Not only is the song super catchy, it has an even more impressive timeline attached to it. The song was announced via social media on August 2nd. It dropped the next day. Fast forward two weeks and it’s a No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs Chart. Oh, and there was even a live performance of the song squeezed in there on August 14.
The performance was part of Aventura’s first show in their final tour that kicked off in Miami. The self-proclaimed Kings of Bachata are hitting the road through October with stops in Los Angeles, New Jersey, and Texas. Meanwhile Bad Bunny has his own tour, El Último Tour del Mundo, kicking off in 2022. And just yesterday he announced “P FNK R,” his first live show of 2021. That show will be in Puerto Rico’s Hiram Bithorn Stadium on December 10, a rescheduled date from its original May 2020 date.
For Aventura, “Volví” is their first No. 1 hit song since 2010’s “Dile Al Amor,” which was featured on their last fifth and final studio album as a group. For Bad Bunny, “Volví” marks his ninth No. 1 hit. His last No. 1 was a whole two months ago in June with “Yonaguni.”
