Bad Bunny Just Broke Another Major Spotify Record

These days, artists constantly drop new tracks to stay relevant and maintain their grip on the music landscape. Not Bad Bunny. His 2025 collaboration with Dei V and Omar Courtz, “VeLDÁ,” has surpassed 1 billion streams on Spotify—nearly two years after its release.

The Debí Tirar Más Fotos cut has become the latest addition to the Puerto Rican superstar’s massive roster of Spotify billion-streamers, bringing his total to 36 and making him the artist with the most songs in that category.

Even more remarkable: earlier this year, Benito sat at No. 2 behind The Weeknd, who had 31 billion-stream songs. Since February, Bad Bunny has added eight more, pushing him past his closest competitor.

“VeLDÁ” is also a major milestone for Dei V and Omar Courtz, who make their first appearances in Spotify’s Billions Club. And while not credited as a performer on the platform, Wisin appears via a spoken-word part.

The song peaked at No. 9 on the Billboard Global 200 and No. 23 on the Billboard Hot 100, while reaching No. 5 on both Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs and Hot Latin Rhythm Songs charts. It also posted strong peaks in several other countries.

All of it underscores Bad Bunny’s current cultural dominance. Even as other superstars chase the relentless streaming release cycle, Benito can take his time—and still make history.
