Bad Bunny and Karol G are performing at this year’s Billboard Music Awards. The Puerto Rican superstar and the Colombian reggaetonera will be representing Latin music at the show that honors the year’s top-selling music.

Bad Bunny will be performing “Te Deseo Lo Mejor” from last year’s El Último Tour Del Mundo album. The LP became the first all-Spanish album in history to hit No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart. Benito already has four Billboard Music Awards to his name and this year he’s the most-nominated Latin artist with seven nominations.

The thing about the Billboard Music Awards is that the winners are based on data from the Billboard charts, sales, and streaming. If you know the sales behind the nominees, it’s clear that the best-selling act will take home the award.

That’s why all three of Bad Bunny’s quarantine albums are nominated in the Top Latin Album category. He’s up against himself for YHLQMDLG, El Último Tour Del Mundo, and Las Que No Iban a Salir. From a sales logic, J Balvin’s Colores and Anuel AA’s Emmanuel don’t have a chance of winning against Bad Bunny’s trio of albums.

Karol G is scheduled to perform a medley of her hits “Bichota” and “El Makinon” with Mariah Angeliq. The latter is shaping up to be one of the biggest all-women hit collaborations in Latin music.

Both songs are from Karol G’s latest album KG0516. In April, the LP became her first to hit No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart. KG0516 also impressively peaked at No. 20 on the Billboard 200 chart.
