We are finally getting the G’s to collaborate! I am talking about Becky G from the block and La Bichota Karol G. Their era is coming – and we are more than eager to hear what this upcoming collaboration “Mami” will sound like.
Becky G just had to post an Instagram photo of her and Karol G to create the buzz. Becky G, decked in a knitted top with rosebuds on the ammunition belt around it, shares a warrior-pose with Karol G, dressed in a metallic body torso armor, both looking like they’re about to go to battle. What are we to expect from the two on “Mami?” It’s Valentine’s season, is Becky G aiming at us with roses?
Karol G, for her part, wrote a Tweet hyping up the collaboration: “AN ANTHEM is coming… The days are numbered. Cheers mamiiiiii!” I don’t know about y’all, but I am ready for my summer anthem – especially by these two Latina queens!
Before this confirmation post, the two teased the collaboration through a location tag entitled “Mami” via Instagram. Five days ago, Karol G posted a photo of her in denim wear with the “Mami” location — but there weren’t speculations until yesterday when Becky G posted the same location name tag with a photo of her in a cowboy hat. With that “coincidence.” Twitter users were, of course, quick to notice before the announcement a few hours later.
All of this comes with Ovy On The Drums also posting an Instagram photo with both Becky G and Karol G in the studio, captioning “AN ANTHEM is coming!” With Ovy as the producer — we just know that it’s about to be a hit. Especially with Karol G’s stats – it was just confirmed that her recent release “SEJODIOTO” just became her 12th No. 1 on Billboard Latin Airplay. Will this new collaboration be her 13th?
We shall see. Let’s go “Mamiiiii!”
