Leagues Cup revealed its official anthem. On June 26, the first in-season club tournament – including all 47 clubs from Major League Soccer (MLS) and LIGA MX – in North America across all men’s professional sports announced its theme song “Nuestros Colores” featuring Christian Nodal, Black Eyed Peas’ Taboo, Emily Estefan, Gusi, Abel Pintos, and Los Rabanes’ Emilio Regueira. The highly-anticipated tournament will take place from July 26 to Aug. 25.

“For us, the anthem celebrates unity and the diverse nature of the Leagues Cup. It blends various sounds to fuse culture and music, highlighting the message of unity in North American music, culture, and soccer,” the song’s producer Emilio Estefan said. He continued: “‘Nuestros Colores’ captures the excitement and intensity of the matches, creating an electrifying experience for fans.”

Moreover, “Nuestros Colores” is a multi-generational collaboration between Emilio Estefan and his daughter Emily. Per the press release, it also “highlights the passing of cultural and musical traditions from one generation to the next, blending their unique perspectives and talents to create an anthem that resonates with all ages.”

The official music video features exciting fútbol moments from the Major League Soccer (MLS) and LIGA MX. It also captures passionate fans with their proud jerseys enjoying and rooting for their favorite fútbol team. Each artist lays down their verse between thrilling shots of soccer goals and fan chants. Nodal’s opening bar proudly describes his flag’s passion while Taboo’s verse gives the song a bilingual twist. All of the artists participate in the song’s chorus. Towards the end, Nodal finishes it off by echoing the song’s message about supporting your favorite team’s colors and flag. With rhythmic guitars, high-energy brass instruments, and beating drums, the new song matches the stimulating fan spirit that echoes throughout the music video.

The World Cup-style Leagues Cup 2024 will officially begin with Atlanta United against D.C. United at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, GA, on July 26. It will feature 77 games hosted at stadiums throughout the U.S. and Canada. Fans can tune in via the MLS Season Pass on the Apple TV app. TelevisaUnivision, FOX Sports, TSN, and RDS will also broadcast selected Leagues Cup matches.
