Café Tacvba Take the Mic in Mexico City to Speak to #Ayotzinapa Tragedy

Last night, Café Tacvba made a stop at Mexico City’s Auditorio Nacional while on tour to commemorate the 20th anniversary of iconic album Re. The band decided not to pass up the opportunity to voice their views about the still-unfolding tragedy of #Ayotzinapa to a standing ovation from the packed stadium. With the current dire situation, we hope to continue seeing artists stepping up to speak to the situation and raising awareness– it’s through these actions that artists can continue to amplify the voices that are excluded from spotty news coverage, especially from outlets outside of Mexico.

Hit play to hear the video, recorded by Chava Rock, where Rubén Albarrán shares his perspective on the critical situation.
