The trolls are after Cardi B, once again! This time they are complaining because her music makes for amazing, viral TikTok content. What? Isn’t it EVERY artist’s dream to have their music go viral, sell a bunch of records and keep creating incredible music? Of course Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar was not about to let trolls attack her hard work.

“It wasn’t me who started the wap challenge,” she specified in a tweet. “I didn’t even knew how to the dance that’s why I never did the challenge in the first place .How ya mad that these female rappers songs becoming tiktok challenges because people genuinely wants to dance to it.”

Now, Cardi B has definitely done things that deserve some call-outs, and if you follow her, you can tell when something has clicked. But trolling her because she makes music that audiences want to dance to, and want to do challenges to is just looking for something to be mad about.

Those trying to make an issue out of Cardi B’s popularity align with the same thought as those that question how she owns her sexuality, is completely unapologetically herself and keeps calling out sexist gender biases in hip-hop. In fact, the more Cardi B proves that she is a force to be reckoned with, trolls attack anything the rapper puts forth, even criticizing how many likes she gets.

A fan noted a recent incident where trolls attacked Cardi B because of how many likes her new album announcement received.

“Facts,” she responded on Twitter. “When I released my announcement on Monday they was talkin about my twitter likes. Now haters are spiraling. I’m grateful just even going top five. My goal was to at least be top ten or beat my old solo number. I’m thankful for you guys. The love overweighs the bad!”

Guess she proves what Beyonce sang, “You know you that bitch when you cause all this conversation. Always stay gracious, best revenge is your paper.”
