Cardi B is expecting baby number two. The rapper is known for delivering on performances (see: Grammys “WAP” performance) — and her pregnancy announcement was no exception. She dropped the huge news of her growing family in a joint performance at the BET Awards on Sunday night (June 27). She took the awards stage to join her husband Offset, who was performing a medley of songs with Migos. A verbal announcement during the performance wasn’t necessary as the expecting mom wore a revealing ensemble that unveiled her baby bump.
A seemingly choreographed social media post went on Instagram the second after Cardi took to the stage. The caption read, “#2 @offsetyrn,” further confirming the news. The announcement did take many by surprise, especially since Cardi B has been keeping a low profile and even performed on the Grammys back in March with Meghan Thee Stallion — in which a baby bump hadn’t been visible yet.
This pregnancy will be the second child that Cardi B has with rapper Offset. The couple also has Kulture Kirari Cephus together, who will be three years old on July 10. Cardi B and Offset report that big sister Kulture is very excited. Following their BET Awards performance, TMZ captured the couple as they dined at Boa Steakhouse in West Hollywood.
As for her appearance at this year’s WWE SummerSlam, there is no word yet. However, it was reported last month that Cardi B would be hosting and possibly performing at the event to be held in Las Vegas in August.
Cardi B wasn’t just celebrating the pregnancy reveal last night as the rapper also walked away with wins from the BET Awards. She took home two of the five BET Awards she was nominated for: Best Collaboration and Best Video for “WAP” with Meghan Thee Stallion.
